Using this Blog Site

Posted by MJ on Sep 06 2007 | Training - General

Reinersblog.com started with one blogger, MJ. Al has since joined in so this site is composed of 2 blogs, which in turn has created 2 separate sites: reinersblog.com and reinersblog.com/al.

To leave a comment

  1. Go to the bottom of a post, and click comment(s)
  2. Go to the bottom of the comments (if there are any) and under Leave a Reply, complete the empty text boxes:
  3. Name: Your name as you want it to appear by your comment
Mail: Enter you email address (this will be hidden and may or may not be required)
    Website: Complete if applicable

  4. In the large text box, type in your comment
  5. Click Submit Comment

To read the comments on blog posts

  1. From the blog post you are reading, click the title of the post
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the post to read comments left by readers

Tip Reading comments is a great way to find information, tips, tricks, and advice from other reiners. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that I began this site for the comments offered by the reining community. “Two heads are better than one.”

To find articles (blog posts) on a specific topic

  1. In the navigation menu on the right side of the page, next to Select Category, click the down arrow
  2. From the alphabetical list of topics, click your topic of interest

or

  1. In the search box at the bottom right side of the page, enter your search terms (words), and click Search

Important Search and Category results only apply to the blog page that you are on. For example, if you select the category Leads from MJ’s blog page, you will get all of the articles on leads from MJ’s blog, not from MJ and Al’s blogs. To get Al’s articles on leads, you have to start the search from his blog page.

I just recently started the cowhorse u program with two 2 yr olds {about 3 wks}. Things are going pretty good, I see a improvement every day. One of the best things I like about the program is the insight into general training of horses like don’t pick fights, and making the horse think he is getting what he wants.
I think training a older horse like Leo is a up hill battle, it is possible to do, but he has to unlearn a lot of life experiences. Mike
